Stella Ngugi is a Business fellow of YALI Regional Leadership Center East Africa. She is also the CEO and Founder of Jobonics, leading recruiting solution for employers to reach, engage and hire top talent in an easy and fast way.
Stella is also the founder of Smart Society Kenya, a software company that assists customers to identify and harness the latest technological entrepreneurial developments. She shares and explores all things lean startup, design thinking, business model canvas, innovation principles, social entrepreneurship and tech.
- Stella is currently a student of the Meltwater Entrepreneurship School of Technology; Incubator training program and mentoring for aspiring technology entrepreneurs with the goal of creating globally successful companies that create wealth and jobs locally in Africa.
- She holds a B.Sc in Human Resources Management from Moi University.
- Ngugi is also a certified HR Professional.
At Sanergy, she started a career as an HR Assistant with critical role in maintaining office infrastructure and processes; coordinating procedures related to HR and operations; and generally ensuring that Sanergy runs effectively and efficiently.
From 2015-2016, she worked with the Animal Wildlife Foundation as a Human Resources Assistant.
In 2016, she created a niche within the technological sector in Kenya using her experience as a Human Resource personnel to create Jobonics.
Jobonics is an online social recruiting solution that enables companies to find & connect with the best candidates faster and easier. It is interactive, insightful and intuitive to job seekers and recruiters alike.

Since the inception of her company Smart Society Kenya, they have designed 5 apps which include the App called Smart Ballot Kenya, used in monitoring the 2017 elections in Kenya to give voters and citizens of Kenya credible election information.
